BOROUGH deputy mayor Cllr Steve Liddiard was on hand at noon today (Tuesday, 3 June) to open the 2025 Thurrock Beer and Cider Festival, which will run until Saturday at the Civic Hall, Blackshots.

Hosted by CAMRA Thurrock (Campaign for Real Ale), this much-loved local tradition brings together the very best in real ale, live music, and community celebration.

This year's festival will feature more than 100 beers and ciders, including a range of key keg beers, alongside wines and meads to suit every taste — from traditional real ales and perries to innovative modern brews.
