Thurrock crime update: What police have been doing

By Neil Speight 10th Mar 2020

POLICE in Thurrock have reported on their activities in the borough in February.

Among the key statistics reported are 308 incidents of anti-social behaviour that were investigated, 292 incidents of domestic abuse investigated and 193 crimes solved.

Divisional commander Chief Inspector Richard Melton says that in response to residents' priority concern about anti-social behaviour his team has increased foot patrols in East Tilbury, Tilbury and Corringham.

He says: "We deployed officers on a joint operation to each area which resulted in two arrests, drugs seized and nitrous oxide canisters removed."
