Thurrock election results by ward: The Homesteads & Stanford-le-Hope North. Longstanding independent dumped

The last declaration of the evening brought disappointment for longstanding independent candidate Gary Byrne who found himself on the wrong end of Reform surge that saw their three candidates all accrue more than 1400 votes. Mr Byrne failed to stay for the declaration ceremony, such was his disappointment.
