It will be one of a number of new centres opening across the county under the auspices of the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) which is co-ordinating the large vaccination centres across Mid and South Essex and Suffolk and North East Essex.

It is understand Chelmsford Race Course and the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend will be among new centres.

The new site in Thurrock, like the two existing vaccination centres at Stifford Clays and Chadwell medical centres will offer jabs to residents nominated to go there by local GPS.
