NINE local scooter enthusiasts travelled to Ypres in Belgium at the weekend to lay a wreath at The Menin Gate.

They rode through terrible weather on Friday to pay their respects at the World War 1 Memorial.

They also visited several museums and cemeteries with the only incident being a breakdown of the support transit van driven by Phil and Karen Lovelidge.

The riders are already planning a ride next year to Normandy, to lay a wreath at the WW2 invasion beaches.
