Police seek information after bike crash

POLICE are continuing to probe the circumstances surrounding a motorbike crash in Stanford-le-Hope on Saturday (22 April).

Emergency services, including firefighters attended.

A statement says: "We were called to London Road, in Stanford-le-Hope at 1.45pm after reports of a collision between a car and a bicycle. 

"We arrived and found a motorbike rider and his passenger had sustained injuries which required medical treatment.

"The road was closed while the incident was being dealt with by emergency services.

"No arrests have been made and our enquiries are ongoing. 

"We need anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage of it to get in touch.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 

"We were called at 1.46pm on Saturday 22 April to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a car on the junction of Ruskin Road and London Road in Stanford-le-Hope.

"An ambulance and ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene. Two patients were transported to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
