STAFF at two Thurrock stores have been celebrating the end of a partnership with a national good cause that has seen them raise almost £40,000 towards saving the lives of young people.

Since 2017 stores across the country in the Morrison chain have been fundraising for the Young Lives V Cancer charity.

The success of the national partnership, that has now come to an end, can be measured by the input of staff and customers at the two Morrisons outlets in Thurrock.

The store at Grays totalled £19,296 and the one at Corringham, which is much smaller, banked an amazing £19,456!

Community champions at the two stores are Tarnya Bennett (Grays) and Samantha Ralph (Corringham) and they - along with fellow staff and managers at both stores - would like to thank everyone that has supported their charity endeavours.

The next national partnership from Morrisons is called 'Together for Short Lives' and funds raised locally will be going to Little Havens Hospice.
