Tidy up tots making a difference in Tilbury

By Nub News Reporter 12th Apr 2025

A TILBURY mum has spoken of her pride in her children who are undertaking a clean up mission in the town during their Easter holidays.

Tracey Humphries has invited others to join her children Tony Nikki-Rose, Amanda-Ivy and Margaret-Louise who have regularly been out and about cleaning up on Saturdays, but are looking to do more over the holiday.

She says: "They have been cleaning the streets of Tilbury for a little while now on Saturdays and now it's Easter holidays they have been doing it every other day.

"They have done amazing things cleaning alleyways and streets to improve our town that we live in.

"They don't get paid to do this (I get them sweets etc), but nothing from anyone.

"What would be nice is for others to help out, even if it's for 10 minutes on a Saturday.

"They start at 10am and finish about 2pm."

The starting point is outside Perth House at 10am

The youngsters will next be in action on Monday (14 April), then Wednesday, 16 April; Thursday,  17 April and Saturday, 19 April - then every Saturday after as they are back at school.
