Tilbury mourns loss of community stalwart

THE death has been announced of a well-known figure in the Tilbury community who was known for her commitment to local good causes, including the Tilbury Riverside Project.
Margaret Spencer has been involved with TRP for over 20 years, latterly as secretary and had previously served as treasurer.
A statement from Project manager Annie O'Brien says: "Margaret was a constant at all of our events, and will be sorely missed by her family and friends and everyone who knew her.
"Our thoughts and condolences go out to her family and friends."
