THINGS have been busy in the pre Christmas countdown at South Ockendn's Harris Academy, where the term ends this Friday (20 December).

Student year groups have each held special celebration assemblies, promoting the good work and achievements of students.

And Essex Police have also got in on the act, with officers from the Thurrock Community Policing team engaging with students as part of their MADE project.

Officers spoke with students about the police service and consequences of committing crime.

The Ockendon Academy, on Erriff Drive, became part of the Harris Foundation in September.
