A PUBLIC open space in Thurrock is set to be improved and made safer by felling a number of trees.

Falcon Wood in Grays has been the centre of a regeneration effort by members of the local community forum and the Grays big local team who have worked with Thurrock Council to improve it and make it a more amenable area for local resident to enjoy.

The latest move is to remove some potentially dangerous trees, and plant others to improve the area. This has required a planning submission to the council, details of which can be found in the link below.

Following consultation with Thurrock Council's Tree Planning Officer, trees in poor condition, causing damage to property or excessive shading were identified with a white cross and are to be felled. The works will allow more space for remaining trees to develop. Replacement trees will be planted in consultation with Thurrock councils Tree Planning Officer and local residents.
