Treetops offers warm welcome to charity's guests

By Nub News Reporter 1st May 2025

STUDENTS and staff at Treetops School in Grays welcomed a party of guests from the Re-engage charity and welcomed them to afternoon tea at the site's post 16 centre.

Re-engage, through its team of volunteers and many partners across the borough, organises such events to help many local elderly, vulnerable or lonely people engage with others.

Regional co-ordinator Loraine Coleman said: "Re-engage Thurrock guests were treated to a wonderful afternoon tea at Treetops school.

"Our guests were well looked after by the pupils and teachers.

"It was great to see the generations coming together to enjoy an afternoon of chat and laughter.

"Thank you to our volunteer drivers for getting our guests to and from the tea party.

"A very big thank you to the students of Treetops School for such a warm welcome and hosting a delicious tea for our Re-engage Thurrock tea party guests.

"Our guests were waited on and spoilt by the students. They were treated to very tasty homemade cakes by Stacey.

"Thank you to Sheree Twigg from Treeetops for organising this delightful tea party.

"And also to Maggie for her organisation and our lovely volunteers for driving guests today. A very lovely afternoon enjoyed by all."
