Two charged with drugs offences after police visit homes

TWO people have been charged with drugs offences following police action which included a raid on a home in South Ockendon.

Acting on information about drugs supply and weapons offences, police officers carried out search warrants at two addresses in Celandine Close, South Ockendon, and Cricketers Lane, Herongate, on Thursday, 25 November.

Annie Atkinson, 28, of Cricketers Lane, Herongate, and Manie Besjerdi, 30, of Celandine Close, South Ockendon, were arrested and later charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

They appeared at Southend Magistrates' Court on Friday, 26 November and are next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court 4 January.
