TWO new stores have opened at Thurrock's intu Lakeside - just in time for Christmas and to cap what has been a successful and eventful year for the regional shopping centre.

Today (Friday, 6 December) Ted Baker opened its doors to their circus themed store. The store features bespoke artworks, including; bold stripes, swinging trapeze artists and exotic animals from around the world. Shoppers can head to Level Two to find their favourite menswear, womenswear, footwear and accessories from the brand.

Also just opened is Rituals Cosmetics, again on Level Two. It boasts a wide product line including body care, scented candles, fragrance sticks, assorted teas, natural skin care and clothing inspired by ancient Eastern traditions.

Rituals Managing Director, Penny Grivea said: "We are so excited that Rituals is opening its first ever stand-alone store in Essex, just in time for Christmas. Our beautiful stores and interactive shopping experience immerses customers in the world of Rituals, helping them to be thankful for every little moment during the busy festive season.

"Whether it is enjoying a hand massage at the water island or a simple cup of herbal tea upon arrival, the team strive to help customers slow down and find happiness in the smallest of things. With a selection of luxury gift sets for every person on your list, we can't wait to help the customers and visitors of Essex find their loved ones the perfect gift this Christmas."

Howard Oldstein, centre director at intu Lakeside, said: "2019 has been a big year for intu Lakeside and shoppers across the South East.

"We are excited to welcome stores from new brands, further investment and expansion from existing brands; as well as launching our brand-new leisure facility, The Quay. This has helped us give our customers more choice and provide them with the best shopping and leisure experience possible."

In 2019, intu Lakeside has welcomed 19 new and upsized retailers, restaurants and leisure operators to provide shoppers with even more reason to visit.
