THURROCK'S TipToe Stage School celebrated a sensational international victory at the National Entertainment Awards — capping off a remarkable 40th anniversary year in spectacular style.

One of Thurrock's longest-serving theatre schools has struck gold on the international stage, taking home the prestigious International Dance Show Stopper Award at the National Entertainment Awards in Las Vegas!

In a night of glitz, glamour and world-class entertainment, TipToe Stage School took on talented performers from across the UK and around the globe to claim the coveted title, putting Thurrock firmly on the international performing arts map.

The celebrations reached fever pitch on m rose to the occasion and delivered a performance worthy of the ultimate accolade.

Pupils, parents and members of the teaching team made the long journey to the entertainment capital of the world over the weekend, coming together on show day to support the performers and cheer them on. Their dedication, passion and teamwork proved to be a winning combination, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

For TipToe, the victory is all the more special as it brings the school's 40th anniversary year to a truly unforgettable close.

Vice Principal Elena Carter-Watts was overcome with emotion as she reflected on the school's extraordinary achievement.

She said: "It hasn't sunk in and what a way to end our 40th year. I cannot stop crying at how proud I am of our people – they've represented TipToe, the borough and the UK absolutely perfectly. What a credit they are to Thurrock and beyond.

"They, their friends and family have brought their 'A' game and have made this once-in-a-lifetime trip so special.

"Massive thanks to Sam, my co Vice Principal, for everything and the whole teaching team, amazingly led by Julie our Principal. Teamwork is what got us here today."

The Las Vegas triumph marks another landmark moment for the school, following an already remarkable year in which Principal Julie Barker was awarded an MBE in October, recognising a further proud chapter in TipToe's story.

From nurturing young talent in Thurrock to taking centre stage on the other side of the Atlantic, TipToe Stage School's latest success is a testament to the dedication of its pupils, the commitment of its teaching team and the unwavering support of its families.

As the confetti settles in Las Vegas, one thing is certain: TipToe has given Thurrock plenty to celebrate — and its 40th anniversary year will be remembered for a very long time.
