FIREFIGHTERS, ambulance staff and police offciers turned up to deal with an incident in Ward Avenue, Grays, earlier this afternoon (Sunday, 27 March) after a vehicle hit a wall.

The busy road in the heart of a residential area was closed while 999 staff did their work to free the vehicle's driver.

A statement from Essex Fire and Rescue says: "On arrival, crews confirmed that one vehicle had collided with a garden wall. Firefighters assisted by moving the vehicle to a position whereby the driver was able to exit the vehicle, by 1.57pm."
