LABOUR'S veteran councillor Lynn Worrall held Grays Thurrock ward with a large majority. The gap of 613 votes made her one of the day's most comfortable winners, polling more than double the number attained by Tory Joanne Swash.

It was better result than her triumph in 2018 when she polled 29 fewer votes and had a majority of 565.

Result:

  • Lynn Worrall, Labour Party: 1,153
  • Joanne Swash, The Conservative Party: 540

Majority 613

Electorate: 6,584. Ballot Papers Issued: 1710 Turnout: 25.97%
