A MAN has been stabbed in the neck in a Thurrock street, prompting a police investigation and plea for information.

A statement from the Essex force says: "We are investigating after a man sustained stab wounds in Tilbury.

"It was reported the man, who's in his 30s, was injured in Feenan Highway at around 10pm yesterday (Sunday, 11 October).

"He has been treated for injuries to his neck but they are not life-threatening or life-changing.

"The attacker is described as being a man wearing a hooded-top.

"We need anyone who saw anything, or has any CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage to contact us.

"If you have any information you can submit a report online here or use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am and 11pm.

"Please quote the crime reference number 42/226745/21.
