POLICE have asked for information and are investigating an incident in a pub at Horndon on the Hill which left a man with a potentially life-changing injury.

It was reported a man, in his 40s, was injured following a clash with another man. Both were in unconnected groups enjoying an evening at the pub and were in its beer garden when the incident happened at around 8.15pm yesterday (Saturday, 17 June).

A number of police officers attended and began an investigation, which continues as the man who was injured remains in hospital.

A statement from Essex Police says: "This incident took place in a busy pub and we believe people will have seen what happened.
