A SALE of woolly items next weekend will be a boost for two good causes.

It will take place at Emmy's Yard on Pound Lane in Orsett. Emmy is a much-loved small pony often seen walking around the village with her owners, often bedecked in flowers and she has been the focal point for local fundraising.

You can find out more about Emmy on her Facebook page.

All proceeds from the latest event will go to the Essex Horse and Donkey Sanctuary and the South Essex Wildlife Hospital, both based in Orsett.

The sale at Emmy's yard next weekend will be from 10am till 11.30am on Saturday and Sunday, 18 and 19 December. Anyone visiting the yard and sale is asked to park close by and walk.

Emmy's owner, Laura Hatcliffe, says: "We have lost so much fund raising this year please drop by, dig dig and help Emmy raise money for some great causes. Hearts for Hector's Gate and Kath's roses for St Luke's Hospice also available."
