Villagers do their bit and offer opportunity to join them for fun event

MEMBERS of a Thurrock village community will be doing their bit today (Saturday, 19 March) to help the people of war-torn Ukraine.

From 10am to 1pm The Woolmarket on High Road in Horndon on the Hill will play host to a cake and cofgfee morning, with proceeds going to relief funds for Ukraine.

Raffle prizes at the event include:

- vouchers for The Swan Inn, Horndon on the Hill

- voucher for Reddingtons Butchers

- Singing lesson

- Full body massage

- Footcare treatment and products

- Champagne, wine, whiskey, toffee vodka There will also be a 'Guess the weight of the cake' competition and you can roll a pound to try and win a bottle of Champagne.
