VOLUNTEERS and supporters of the Thurrock branch of the Re-engage charity have boosted their knowledge and skill sets thanks to a presentation by the Alzheimer's Society.

Members of the branch, which supports older, lonely and vulnerable members of the Thurrock community by arranging social events, attended a presentation by Deborah Young, Community Development Co-ordinator for the society.

Regional Re-engage co-ordinator Loraine Coleman said: "Deborah provided an excellent dementia awareness presentation this evening to our volunteers.

"We all enjoyed the insight and understanding you shared. It was informative, engaging and truly appreciated by everyone. Thank you Deborah and the Alzheimer's Society."
