Walkers get Pride celebration in borough underway

Just some of those who made a colourful departure from Purfleet rail station this morning.

THE celebration of pride month in Thurroock began in earnest this morning with a walk from Purfleet to Grays by event supporters.

They walked along the riverside from Purfleet station to the Wharf pub in Grays where and after-walk party got underway.

The 'big day' itself is Saturday, 14 June when the Thameside complex on Orsett Road will be the epicentre of activity.

It will host a family friendly event for the whole community, celebrating diversity, inclusion and equality. Organised by the Thurrock LGBTQ+ Network.

Amnd will be preceeded by a march from the Wharf to Grays town centre.
