By Neil Speight 3rd Aug 2021

THE Essex and Suffolk Water company has apologised to residents in Aveley today for problems associated with a water leak.

The issue came to the notice of local residents early this morning (Tuesday, 3 August) when it was reported there was a significant water leak in the area.

A spokesperson for Essex & Suffolk Water said: "Water supplies around Purfleet Road in Aveley were affected on Tuesday morning with some customers experiencing low pressure or in some cases no water.

"Distribution technicians attended to the repairs and water supplies were restored by 2pm.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank residents for their patience."
