Pete flies in with a lifesaving message for local pupils

PUPILS at Warren Primary School in Chafford Hundred were recenlty visited by a special guest.

Pete Faulding, a renowned world leading confined space and forensic search specialist, who arrived in a helicopter to talk to children about the importance of water safety.

During the assembly, Pete shared some valuable tips on how to stay safe while enjoying water activities.

He emphasised the significance of wearing life jackets and buoyancy aids and educated children on the signs that they may see around water, what they mean, and what to do in an emergency.

Pete donated four buoyancy aids and four life jackets of different sizes, which parents can loan for their children's safety on water trips.

Pete privately funds the delivery of these assemblies and donates equipment across the country in support of the Lucas Dobson Water Safety Campaign.

In addition, some children from the school's Deaf Resource Base received a sign supported talk about the helicopter.

A school spokesperson said: "We want to extend our sincere thanks to Pete for taking the time to educate our children on this crucial topic.

"We hope that this donation will help our students enjoy water activities safely."
