RESIDENTS are being encouraged to have their say on plans to renew and improve play equipment at Grays Beach Riverside Park.

Grays Beach Riverside Park is planning to renew some of its play equipment, with the aim of providing a range of play opportunities for people of all abilities and ages, including children and young people.

A statement from Thurrock Council says: "We'd like to hear your views on the types of play equipment you and your family would most like to see in the park. Your feedback will help shape a play area that is welcoming, engaging, and enjoyable for the local community.

"Over summer 2025, we spoke with residents about Grays Beach Riverside Park. The feedback showed that 74% of respondents consider the park to be important, while 57% raised concerns about its current condition.

"In response, we are now planning to renew some of the play equipment at the park.

"Many respondents also highlighted the value of having equipment that can be enjoyed by people of different ages and abilities. These views will help inform the proposed improvements as plans continue to develop.

"Please take part in our consultation and tell us the types of play equipment you and your family would most like to see in the park.

"The consultation is open until Thursday, 12 March 2026.
