We kick off this weekend preview with news about an event that will literally light up Purfleet

It will feature a lantern parade around Purfleet, ending at High House where the light festival will take place from 7pm.

You can find out more from this link.

An event to get the spirits racing will take place at the Chadwell Arms on Friday.

A charity race night will raise money for Dial-a-dream children and young adults on end of life care.

And there are events coming up at the Thameside Nature Park at Mucking to keep children entertained.

Nature Tots, for example, is a parent and toddler group where young children can explore, play and learn through nature at Thameside Nature Discovery Park.
