Our weekly preview of 'What's On in Thurrock' picks out a selection of events hosted on our events guide.

The weekend of activities in Thurrock begins on a sombre note on on Friday (26 January) with a commemoration service to mark International Holocaust Day.

Centred on the 'Fragility of Freedom' it will take place at Herbert E. Brooks Memorial Rest Garden on Southend Road, Grays.

A musical highlight will take place at the Thameside Theatre in Grays on Saturday then the 'Made in Tennessee' county music show comes to town.

Also on saturday an exhibition opens at the Thameside Complex which a collaboration between the Museum and Library services and looks at how a World War II campaign can help us live more sustainably now.
