What's On This Weekend: It's Orsett Show time

Our weekly preview of 'What's On in Thurrock' picks out a selection of events hosted on our events guide and highlights the annial Stanford and Corringham Carnival that takes place on Saturday.

The big event across the borough this weekend is the annual Orsett Show which returns once more at the Orsett Showground.

This traditional event features a wide variety of attractions, from the main ring excitment of the Red Imps display team, to the more sedate heritage marque, there are fairground rides, and foodstands, and showjumping, and ....the list is almost endless.

Gates open at 9am.

And you can get in the mood for Saturday's big event by calling in at The Meadowview summer fete on Fruday.

It takes place in the Cherrytree Garden at Thurrock Community Hospital off Long Lane, Grays.
