We kick off this weekend preview with on of many family events held over the holiday at the Thameside Nature Discovery Park, Mucking Wharf Road, Stanford-Le-Hope,

On Friday you can celebrate spring in an outdoor workshop where organisers will be taking inspiration and materials from nature to create some natural Easter crafts, such as wooden bunnies, flower bunting and willow nests.

There's a great musical treat at the Thameside Theatre, where the Little Mermaid will delight and entertain youngsters.

And there's a whole host of Easter fun at the Hope and Healing Ministry in Grays.

The Easter Party will be held at the Queensgate Banquet Hall in the town centre on Saturday, 8 April.

Activities will include a range of competitions for youngsters and there are prizes to be won.
