The action starts on Friday (17 February) at the Civic Hall when the exciting LDN Wrestlers come to town.

On Saturday Horndon on the Hill's picturesque church will play host to a performance by BasOp.

This highly acclaimed singing and theatrical group have been staging shows for many years, starting with Gilbert & Sullivan, the last one being Me and My Girl, which was nominated by NODA as the Best Musical in district 10.

That's something for the grown-up, youngsters can make their own fun at the Thameside Nature Park.

Nature Tots is a parent and toddler group where young children can explore, play and learn through nature. Discover and learn through a range of fun wildlife themed activities from bug hunting and mud play to natural painting and stick creatures.

Suitable for ages 18 months to 5 years.

And also on Saturday adults and children can come together at the park to 'Build a Bird Box' for National Nest Box Week.

Packs will be ready to put together. Adults will need to be comfortable using tools like hammers and nails - tool use will mean close adult supervision is required.

If getting up and having a bop is your thing, there are two events on Saturday that could be right up your street.

At the Circus Tavern there's a night of club classics and dance floor fillers from the 90s and 00s.

And at Thurrock Civic Hall in Grays the many magical songs from the Abba era will be ringing out.
