We kick off this weekend preview with news that the Thameside Theatre in Grays will be rocking on Friday night.

'The Elton John Show' will be at the Thameside Theatre where the audience will hear songs from Rocket Man to Tiny Dancer. The Elton John Show brings "Young Elton" back to stage at his energetic best.

The show is in two halves, each of 50 minutes, with a 20-minute interval.

The Thameside will also be hosting an event where creatives in Thurrock can learn about how they can benefit form working together. Details of 'Thurrock Can' here.

There are two opportunitues to sit and have a cuppa with the borough's local policing team.

Two chances to have a brew with a bobby!

Officers will be at St Peter and St Paul's Church, Horndon on the Hill on Saturday and in Chadwell on Friday.

Local players will be lining up on the oche in Stanford on Sunday for an open darts championship.

The action will be at East Thurrock Community Association, a venue that will have a more sedate board games evening on Friday.
