THANKS have been expressed to staff at the Marks and Spencer store at Lakeside who have united to support a borough-based wildlife charity.

Sue Schwar, founder of the South Essex Wildlife Hospital at Orsett was on hand to receive a cheque from staff who organised a raffle to mark the Platinum Jubilee, with the hospital as the selected good cause. Sue said: "Thank you so much, we are so grateful for your support!"

And in addition to the cash, the team at Marks and Spencer also delivered a package of donated foodstuffs.
