By Nub News Reporter 21st Aug 2025

WILLIAM Edwards School in Stifford Clays Road, Grays, is celebrating after pupils received impressive GCSE results.

Among many high achievers were Hannah Sadowska, Matt Wilks and Maraizal Morton who achieved eight grade 8's and 19 grade 9's between them.

Across the whole school 117 top grade were awarded to pupil across all subjects.

Headteacher Simon Bell said: "We are pleased with the results this summer. To achieve so many top grades was impressive and is testament to the hard work of the pupils and the staff who taught them.

"This was a year group who didn't finish Primary School because of Covid and they also had a disrupted Year 7.

"We are proud of their efforts and wish them every success as they continue onto the next phase of their education."
