HIGH winds have caused a reduction in the number of ferry services running between Tilbury and Gravesend.

A statement from the operators issued this morning (Saturday, 14 December) says: "We have just heard from the ferry that the westerly wind has been causing some large waves during the crossings.

"We therefore will be reducing the crossings to hourly. Until the wind subsides which is estimated about 3pm."
