A STORMY evening is forecast in Thurrock tonight (26 December) as Storm Bella impacts on the region.

The very blustery conditions, accompanied by rain are expected to last well into tomorrow.

The Met Office forecasts winds in Thurrock of 40mph or more, possibly6 getting close to 50mph in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Temperatures are expected to be around 10 degrees tonight and they will fall to as low as two degrees going into Monday morning as the storm passes, though sunshine is expected for periods tomorrow.
