Woman and dog rescued by firefighters after car overturned

A WOMAN and dog were rescued after a vehicle overturned on a busy borough road this morning (Tuesday, 22 August).

Emergency services responded after an alarm was raised following a road traffic collision at 7.36am on Chadwell Road in Grays near tge junction with Rectory Road.

On arrival, firefighters crews found a vehicle which had rolled onto its side, with a female and dog trapped inside. Crews worked to free the casualty by 8.02am.

The woman was left in the care of the ambulance service.
