Woman died in crash on port road in Stanford-le-Hope

POLICE have now confirmed that a woman pedestrian died in the incident that happened on the approach road to London Gateway port in Stanford-le-Hope this morning.

A statement this afternoon (Thursday, 14 January) says: "A lorry and a pedestrian were in collision at around 6.30am today. Sadly, the woman died at the scene.

"The road was closed between the A1014 roundabout and the Ocean Boulevard roundabout while we investigated but it has now re-opened.

"If you saw anything, have any dash cam footage, or have any other information please call us on 101 quoting incident 150 of 14 January or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
