A WORLD-ranked wrestling tag team delighted pupils at Treetops School by visiting, meeting children and leaving mementos and autographs.

The event this week was something of a homecoming for one of the popular duo, Lewis Howley and Sam Stoker. Grays-born Lewis, who is also a model, is a former student at Stanford-le-Hope's Hassenbrook School.

Lewis and Sam Stoker, known as 'Pretty Deadly' spent the afternoon answering questions, signing autographs and entertaining the crowd as part of the school's career programme that aims to promote a diverse range of career paths based around students interests and goals.

The duo explained the rigorous training regime of a WWE performer, career pathways into the industry and the highs and lows of being part of wrestling entertainment.

Speaking on behalf of the Treetops Learning Community, Sean Greene said: "It was a day that will live long in the memory and may inspire more local talent into the world of professional wrestling entertainment. "
