A PROMISING young Thurrock artist from Corringham has launched an Instagram page featuring his works.

Joshua Saunders, 13, who home schools, has hopes to make a career as a painter – having already sold a number of his works.

He draws inspiration from his favourite artists, Van Gogh, Rembrandt and Constable.

Joshua, who started painting seriously in 2015, produces his own work in oils and water colours in an impressionist/old master style. He also produces pencil artwork and is a quick worker and his paintings in particular have been complemented for his focus on textures and brush marks.

His nan and grandad, John and Laura Saunders are full of pride and Laura says: "We are very proud of Joshua. He is self-taught and his passion for art really shines through in his work."
