ONLINE opportunities to learn more about apprenticeships, whether you are about to leave school, college or sixth form or are already in an established job or career, will be hosted by Thurrock Inspire Youth Hub in February.

A number of virtual webinars will take place throughout National Apprenticeship Week this year, providing an insight into how apprenticeships can provide people of all ages with the skills and experience to develop their career.

The daily sessions will be hosted online over the week from Monday, 7 February to Sunday, 13 February and will cover many different aspects of apprenticeships in fun and engaging ways.

Sessions are available to book online on the Thurrock Opportunities website. Each session will be tailored towards different audiences within the community, including sessions focused on those interested in or considering an apprenticeship. Webinars are also available for parents and carers, teachers and employers providing insight how they can nurture and support apprenticeships further.

Thurrock Council's education portfolio holder Cllr Barry Johnson says: "Apprenticeships truly are a phenomenal experience for those who undertake them.

"Through valuable work experience, people of all ages, from those leaving school, college or sixth form to those already in established jobs or careers, can find a new area or field that excites them and dive right in to learning new skills.

"The Thurrock Inspire Youth Hub, is a fantastic resource for those interested in starting an apprenticeship and setting themselves on a path towards an exciting, fulfilling career.

"I would ask everyone to consider where an apprenticeship may benefit or support their development, with lots of online testimonies available of people who have joined the council as an apprentice, and their journey of professional development and success."

Thurrock Council's website has more details about apprenticeships, which can be accessed via this link.
