STAFF and visitors to the St Luke's charity shop in South Ockendon recently celebrated World Book Day.

The store's new manager Sarah-jane Ball and shop assistant Laura organised the event at the shop on Derry avenue in the town and was delighted that so many people turned up to join in the fun.

"It all helps to raise the profile and hopefuly the awareness of our store in the local community," said Sarah-jane. "We had lots of people turn up in costuime and it was a great day and a fun event."
