THE latest event in the Riverside Community Big Local book bonanza took place today (Friday, 12 August) when bestselling author, and the 2021 winner of the People's Book Prize for Children's Literature, Venessa Taylor visited Grays Town Park - along with Marley the Lion!

Venessa spent time talking about the creative process, signing books and - of course - reading from her books to children, young and not so young.

There is another chance to meet Venessa on Monday morning at the Elm Road Open Space - the event is free of charge and there is no need to book.
