YOUNGSTERS from primary schools across Corringham came together in the town centre today (Thursday, 26 May) to help set the scene for a right royal celebration.

Children from Abbots Hall, Arthur Bugler, Corringham Primary, Giffard's and Graham James schools decorated the town's planters with jubilee crowns.

The event was organised by the local community forum and among those expressing their thanks to the childrn, teher, forum members and all those who helped was Homesteads ward councillor Gary Byrne who was on hand to see the pupils in action and said: "What a great effort. Well done to all concerned. It was so great to see the enthusiasm from the children and I know we are all going to enjoy a memorable week of jubilee celebrations."
