CORRINGHAM's former ambulance station is set for demolition and will be replaced by a terrace of three three-bedroom house if a plan put before Thurrock Council is rubber-stamped.

Loughton-based Secureland Developments has submitted the application for the site, which ceased to be used as an active station by the East of England Ambulance Service last year. In the interim it was used as a storage site but the property was vacated in March this year.

The site, which was formerly allotments land until the station was built in 1975, is on Giffords Cross Road.

The full application, and the opportunity to comment on the plan, can be accessed via this link: https://regs.thurrock.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=RCCC9HQGL7U00
