AVELEY FC will be making a return to action if lockdown ends on Tuesday, 8 December with an FA Trophy tie though depending on what restrictions, if any, are lifted it could be played behind closed doors.
And if they come through the First Round match at Parkside against Hastings United, then they could face two more Trophy ties in quick succession as the Second and Third Round dates have been set as Tuesday, 15 December and Saturday 19 December as the FA seeks to catch up.
Aveley will be going ahead with the Trophy tie as it has been sanctioned by the FA as an elite game, meaning the scheduled Isthmian North game at Histon (which is being played after being abandoned earlier this season).
If lockdown allows, the Millers may try to arrange a friendly on the Saturday (6 December) preceding the Trophy tie.
Meanwhile there has been a lockdown departure from the Aveley squad, with striker Bradley Sach joining Essex rivals Bowers & Pitsea. It's a return to the Isthmian Premier for Sach who joined the Millers in the close season from Potters Bar Town.
He made eight appearances for Aveley and scored two goals, against Harpenden Town and Dereham Town.
