Belhus 3rd XI 262-4

Wanstead & Snaresbrook 4th XI 196-7

Batting first in this penultimate League match of the season, Belhus 3rd XI posted a commendable 262-4 from their allotted 40 overs. Bharvish Dharmani (57) and Tipu Samsuddin (61*) batted superbly, but it was opener Chris Didd who stole the show in stroking his second century (105) for the Club.

In their reply, Wanstead & Snaresbrook couldn't quite reach the target as Tipu Samsuddin claimed his maiden '5for' (5 for 17) to crown a magnificent day for him and a comfortable victory of 66 runs for a joyous Belhus CC 3rd XI.

Belhus 1st XI and 2nd XI teams have secured their places in their respective Essex League positions for next season. Fifteen year old Henry Overy made his Essex premier league debut with the Belhus CC 1st XI, taking one wicket and fourteen year old, Brandon Millard in the Belhus CC 2nd XI notched up his 50th wicket of the season for the club.

However, both 1st and 2nd XIs lost on Saturday with the 1st XI going down by 68 runs to Harold Wood and the 2nd XI losing to Epping by 66 runs.

Belhus CC 4th XI have had a difficult season and finally succumbed to relegation when they suffered a four wickets defeat at the hands of neighbours, Orsett & Thurrock.
