Belhus batting records tumble

By Guest 31st May 2021

OVER a gloriously sunny and busy weekend for cricket at Belhus, there were standout batting performances for the Sunday XI when Ryan Wells, scoring 204 which is a club record for an individual Belhus batsman, and Henry Overy (75 not out) as they both chased down 317-1 with 319 to win by 10 wickets at Brentwood Victorians.

Incidently, the 319 scored by the Sunday XI, at the old county ground, became the club's Largest Victory by 10 wickets which was another club record to tumble. Congratulations, Ryan and Henry!

Meanwhile, over at North Stifford, the Sunday 2nd XI hosted Ruislip Orientals at North Stifford and won by 42 runs.

In form Belhus batsman, Jack Plane continued his strong start to the season, scoring 167 runs not out and becoming the first Belhus club batsman to reach 500 runs this season.
