TABLE toppers Aveley and play-off zoners Grays Athletic will be hoping to cement their promotion credentials with Isthmian North wins this afternoon (Saturday, 15 January).

Aveley travel to Heybridge Swifts looking to add to a six match unbeaten run that includes five wins that has elevated them to the top of the division.

Heybridge's recent league form is decent and they are unbeaten in six matches also but they suffered an Essex Senior Cup disappointment, losing 2-1 at Hashtag United.

Their manager, former Southend United boss and Shrimpers icon Steve Tilson who took over in September following the departure of Julian Dicks, will be looking for them to bounce back.

Grays will play host to Coggeshall Town and home fans at Parkside will be looking to catch a glimpse of Town's pop star director Ollie Murs.

There were high hopes in the Coggehsall camp at the start of the season but they have slipped of the pace and dropped to mid table, while Grays' form has fluctuated but they go into the game on the back of a good win last weekend against fellow challengers Dereham.

Another of the sides in the heat of the promotion battle at Stowmarket, and the second-placed club will provide tough opposition for Tilbury at Chadfields.

Things have been tough of late for Tilbury with heavy recent away defeats at Canvey and Basildon, though their last home game at Chadfields did result in an encouraging 1-1 draw with Aveley. In the week they parted company with assistant manager Luke Wilson.

Isthmian Premier side East Thurrock are without a match today.
