TILBURY FC has announced new commercial partnership with three of the biggest names in Thurrock's business community - Port of Tilbury, EMR and the John F Hunt Group.

The club, known as 'The Dockers' has been rooted in the local community for more than 100 years and its local family owners say the new partnership with leading local businesses reaffirms the club's aim to bring the community together to take Tilbury forward.

Port of Tilbury is the London region's principal multi-purpose port, while EMR is a global leader in metal recycling. John F Hunt Group is a major demolition contractor also providing additional specialist services in the form of civil engineering, and tool and plant hire to the construction industry.

Danny Nash, who succeeded his late father Robbie as owner and chairman of Tilbury FC said: "As a community orientated club, we are delighted the local business community has rallied around us. We are proud to team up with EMR, Port of Tilbury and John F Hunt who are the backbone of our local economy.

"The new partnership plays an important part in Tilbury Football Club's ambitious plans to take the next step in its growth.

"With our once in a lifetime proposal to invest £5 million in Tilbury to deliver a new purpose-built stadium and clubhouse that will be open to the community, now is truly an exciting time to be involved with Tilbury FC. We are thrilled to welcome our new partners onboard our journey to take Tilbury forward."

The club are currently awaiting a decision from Thurrock Council on its planning application to invest £5 million in community facilities in Tilbury to provide a new purpose-built stadium, all weather pitch and clubhouse.
